SoFi Technologies Inc. (SOFI) shares surged 5.73% during intraday trading on Monday, extending a recovery rally driven by the company's stronger-than-expected second-quarter financial results.
The fintech stock's upward momentum comes as the market continues to digest SoFi's Q2 earnings report, which featured adjusted earnings of $0.12 per diluted share, surpassing the consensus estimate of $0.11. Revenue reached $1.206 billion, marking roughly 43% year-over-year growth and significantly exceeding the $1.121 billion estimate. Management also raised its full-year adjusted net revenue guidance above prior outlook and analyst expectations.
While the stock initially fell on earnings day due to maintained EBITDA guidance and profit-taking, the focus has since shifted back to the robust revenue and earnings beats, underpinning a sustained recovery in the share price.
