Singapore Shares Remain in Red Despite Regional Gains; UltraGreen.ai Plunges 35%

Singapore shares remained rooted in the red zone on Thursday, despite regional gains as regional indices snapped their losing streaks.

The Straits Times Index (STI), a key benchmark for the Singapore Exchange, ranged between 5,645.39 and 5,687.94 throughout the day. It ended the session at 5,671.91, down 22.33 points or 0.4% compared to Wednesday's close.

On the corporate front, shares of UltraGreen.ai (SGX:ULG) plunged nearly 35% after it said there has been no material change to its business or outlook following US regulatory approvals for Zydus Lifesciences and Provepharm, which were highlighted in a Business Times article.

Kimly (SGX:1D0) closed nearly 3% higher, with the coffee company looking to transfer from the Catalist board to the Mainboard of the Singapore Exchange.

Meanwhile, iWOW Technology (SGX:NXR) said the final consideration for the acquisition of an entire stake in telecommunications solutions provider Roots Communications has been set at about SG$17.4 million.
