Citic Pacific Special Steel Group's Attributable Profit Jumps 7% in H1; Shares Slide 3%

Citic Pacific Special Steel Group's (SHE:000708) attributable profit rose 6.9% to 2.99 billion yuan in the first half from 2.80 billion yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Friday filing with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Earnings per share at the Chinese steel producer increased to 0.58 yuan from 0.54 yuan in the prior-year period.

Operating revenue declined 1.9% year over year to 53.7 billion yuan from 54.7 billion yuan.

Directors declared a dividend of 2 yuan per 10 shares, or 0.20 yuan per share.

Shares slipped 3% during afternoon trading on Friday.
