Chinese shares rose on Friday, as investor sentiment was boosted by signals of further policy support from the government.

The Shanghai Composite Index, the main gauge of Chinese stocks, closed 1.48 points higher to 3,905.20. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.9% to 14,094.17.

He also reaffirmed commitments to deepening fiscal reforms and maintaining "iron discipline" against new hidden local government debt.
