Perak Transit (KLSE:PTRANS) said it will deploy digitalization, artificial intelligence, data analytics and automation across its bus and terminal operations to improve efficiency and asset utilization.
The group will initially focus on fleet scheduling, maintenance, fuel and route monitoring, and operational analytics, according to a Thursday Malaysian bourse filing.
The public transport hub operator is targeting 10% to 15% cost efficiencies in selected fleet operations, particularly in fuel management, maintenance, and fleet utilization.
Perak Transit is also evaluating a potential strategic partnership with a local industry player to develop and deploy digital solutions, and may eventually commercialize some of the technology solutions for other transportation and terminal operators, the filing said.
