Luye Pharma Group (HKG:2186) said its LY01620 therapeutic mRNA vaccine for cervical precancerous lesions is set to enter a Phase II clinical trial in China.

The trial will assess the candidate's safety and efficacy in patients with HPV16-positive high-grade cervical lesions, according to a Thursday Hong Kong exchange filing. Positive results from a Phase I study supported the move into Phase II, the company said in the filing.

Shares of the company rose nearly 2% in recent trade.
