MT Newswires10-26 12:11

Singapore's Energy Market Authority (EMA) has renewed its memorandum of understanding with the Energy Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Tenaga - ST) to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, according to a Monday statement.

The renewed MOU provides a framework for both regulators to strengthen technical cooperation, regulatory exchanges and knowledge sharing, including planning and reliability of electricity and piped gas systems and regulation of wholesale and retail electricity markets, among others.

The MOU will also strengthen collaboration on solar and energy storage systems.

The two parties first signed the MOU in October 2020.
