Keppel (SGX:BN4) was appointed by Singapore's Economic Development Board to aggregate, import and sell up to 120 MW of biomethane in the city state for 15 years, according to a Friday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

The asset manager and operator was granted the project under the country's 300 MW Biomethane Sandbox initiative, with imports expected to begin by the end of 2028.

The move is part of the company's strategy to focus on bioenergy collaborations to develop and access international biomethane supplies.
