Market Chatter: Netflix Developing Live-Action Series Based on PUBG Video Game

Netflix (NFLX) is developing a live-action series based on the battle royal video game called PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, or PUBG, Variety reported Thursday.

Donald Glover is expected to star and direct the show, while his brother Stephen Glover will write and executive produce it, according to the report.

The video game PUBG was published in 2017 and it does not have a plot in itself, rather has large number of players being dropped into one of the several maps featuring weapons, vehicles and other items in a last-man standing deathmatch, Variety said.

Netflix did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
