Stalk $Datadog(DDOG)$ (The More Eyes, the Higher the RVOL Required)
There are a lot of eyes on this setup. When a breakout becomes obviousto everyone, it often turns into a liquidity event for institutions todistribute into retail buying. Without exceptional RVOL confirminginstitutional demand, the breakout has a much higher chance of failing.
For names like this, I want to see meaningfully elevated RVOL beforeconsidering an entry. Otherwise, it risks becoming another DELL, anattractive looking breakout that repeatedly traps late buyers. It was a
total of 3 stop loss in a week for anyone married to $Dell Technologies Inc.(DELL)$ setup.
PS: DDOG could easily become another DELL
if you don't use some form of entry criteria as part of your execution to filter yourself from the crowd.
A good setup alone isn't enough. Long-term profitability comes from combining quality setups with quality execution. Without an execution filter, you're simply buying the same pattern everyone else sees and grinding suboptimal result.
