AI booming too fast? Will the world become like terminator?

So even AI creators themselves are worried and concerned about the rapid rate that AI is developing right now. The main researcher from Anthropic recently left his post, verbalizing his concern that AI might cause human extinction by the end of this decade. Strong words indeed from an industry expert. Every company are just pushing each other to improve their AI models in order to keep up with demand. But are they shooting themselves in their foot because of this constant rat race?

So with everything such as escalating Iran/US conflict, Fed rate decision, constant questions revolving around pace of AI innovation, steaming CPI/PPI numbers, traditional expiry of options all stacking up, I foresee the volatility to remain high for this week and be ready for some massive swings on both sides.[Surprised]

Jensen Huang Drops a Number — Why Did AI Hardware Stage a Full Comeback?
Jensen Huang said Nvidia will ship twice as many chips next year as this year, and that AI safety matters but cannot be regulated the way social media was. AI hardware ran: AMD +6.36% to $545.09, Marvell +4.81% to $240.76, Nvidia +2.54% to $219.34, Broadcom +2.29% to $347.30, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index up over 3%. That is a third straight up session for chips, a rebound that started in the same week the slowdown argument was loudest. A week of talk finally has a number attached. But the number is the company's own forecast, not signed orders. Is one line enough to hold a rally?

Options expiry is the part people keep underpricing. Dealer gamma can turn a scary headline into way bigger swings than the AI narrative itself lol

I think so too! Lets see how the gamma develops into tomorrow key note by the fed.

Fast development does not automatically mean Terminator. Panic is probably the bigger volatility driver here lol
