Key points

  • Boss Energy reported drummed production of 359,000 pounds of triuranium octoxide for the quarter, representing a 1% decline from the previous quarter.

  • The company's cash balance fell by $10 million to $39 as it accumulated 60,000 pounds of drummed inventory.

  • Boss Energy remains on track to deliver its FY27 production and cost guidance as it transitions to a wide-spaced wellfield design.

Boss Energy (ASX:BOE) has confirmed that its quarterly operational results met expectations despite drummed production dipping 1% to 359,000 pounds.

The modest output decline was accompanied by a 9% drop in ion exchange production to 337,000 pounds due to lower average tenor.

Boss CEO and Managing Director, Matthew Dusci, commented, “Operationally, we made a solid start to FY27. Honeymoon produced 359 klbs of drummed U₃O₈ and achieved record flows, despite a significant rainfall event that resulted in 19 days of lost production.”

Boss Energy stated that initial flushing performance supports the expected viability of its new wide-spaced wellfield design.

The miner recorded a C1 cash cost of $47 per pound, an all-in sustaining cost of $79 per pound, and a total capital expenditure of $13 million.

Boss Energy maintained total liquid assets of $195 million in cash and liquid holdings to fund its ongoing transition.

Following the announcement, the Boss Energy share price was unchanged at $1.48.

The company continues construction on new wellfields HMT1, EKT2, and EKT3, which are expected to begin production between Q3 FY27 and Q1 FY28.
