Market Watcher08-12

August 11, 2026, Tuesday, 8:15 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time, multiple U.S. stocks saw sharp moves in after-hours trading.

CoreWeave, Inc. shares jumped about 10%–12% in the after-hours session after the company released its 2026 Q2 earnings and raised full-year guidance.
CoreWeave reported Q2 2026 revenue of USD 2.58 billion, slightly above analysts’ expectations of USD 2.56 billion, with net loss at USD 626 million, narrower than market forecasts. Adjusted EBITDA reached USD 1.51 billion, reflecting strong profitability from AI infrastructure services despite heavy upfront investment. The company also completed USD 2.6 billion in AI infrastructure loan financing to support accelerated data center expansion.
CoreWeave’s CFO said Q2 margins expanded quarter-on-quarter, marking a turning point for profitability. Management raised 2026 capex guidance to USD 35–39 billion and lifted full-year revenue outlook to USD 12.4–13.2 billion, with active compute capacity expected to exceed 1.85 GW by year-end, all above prior guidance. In July, CoreWeave implemented roughly 25% price increases across its SKU portfolio to offset surging demand and higher component costs, while more than 50% of its backlog has already entered customer delivery. The combination of stronger-than-expected growth, improving margins, and aggressive capacity build-out reinforced investor confidence in the durability of AI compute demand, driving the sharp after-hours rally in CoreWeave, Inc. .

SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC rallied strongly in after-hours trading as its latest quarterly results and guidance underscored robust AI server demand.
Super Micro Computer announced Q4 results with net income of USD 1,178 million and adjusted EPS of USD 1.70, far above the IBES estimate of USD 0.96 and up 314.63% year-on-year. Q4 sales came in at USD 11.1 billion, slightly below the IBES estimate of USD 11.551 billion, but the earnings beat and margin expansion offset concerns over the modest revenue miss. The company guided FY 2027 net sales to USD 65–72 billion, well ahead of the FactSet consensus of USD 52.99 billion, and projected Q1 FY 2027 net sales of USD 14.5–15.5 billion with adjusted EPS of USD 1.01–1.10.
Management highlighted that in fiscal 2026, nine customers generated over USD 1 billion in revenue each, up from four in fiscal 2025, reflecting deepening relationships with large AI and cloud clients. Fourth-quarter demand from enterprise and channel customers for compute, storage, and networking upgrades also increased, supporting a broader infrastructure refresh cycle. Prior to the release, options markets had priced in implied volatility of around 13.4%, with heavy call buying signaling bullish expectations. The strong EPS beat, aggressive long-term sales guidance, and evidence of sustained AI server momentum drove a notable after-hours spike in SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC .

CAVA Group Inc. posted solid Q2 results, supporting a constructive view on its growth trajectory.
CAVA reported Q2 pretax profit of USD 30.578 million and net income of USD 23.017 million, translating into EPS of USD 0.19. Revenue reached USD 368.436 million, topping the IBES estimate of USD 360.5 million, while income from operations was USD 26.846 million, indicating healthy operating leverage as the chain scales. The beat on both top and bottom lines suggests resilient consumer demand and effective cost control in a challenging macro environment. Investors are watching CAVA Group Inc. as a potential long-term growth story in the fast-casual segment, with further upside hinging on store expansion, same-store sales growth, and margin discipline.
