Oxide Earmarks 1.46 Billion Yen to Expand Faraday Rotator Production

MT Newswires Live09:40

Oxide Corp. (TYO:6521) will invest about 1.46 billion yen in new production equipment for Faraday rotators at its Factory No. 6 in Hokuto City, Yamanashi, according to a Wednesday Tokyo bourse filing.

The capacity expansion targets rising demand for high-speed optical communications in data centers, driven by the adoption of generative AI.

Operations are scheduled to begin in the second half of the fiscal year ending February 2027.

Faraday Rotators are key components of optical isolators installed in optical transceivers, the company said.

Shares of Oxide added nearly 3% in recent trade.
