President Donald Trump announced on August 18 that he is nominating Zach West to serve as a judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma.
In a statement on social media platform X, Trump praised West's record as Solicitor General of Oklahoma and Director of Special Litigation in the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office, describing him as "a zealous advocate for the Constitution, Religious Liberty, and the Rule of Law."
West previously clerked for Judge J. Leon Holmes of the Eastern District of Arkansas and Judge Bobby Baldock of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
Concluding his announcement, Trump said, "A real fighter for the Great People of Oklahoma, Zach will never let you down. Congratulations Zach!"
