Tesoro Gold (ASX:TSO) intersected multiple thick and high-grade gold intercepts from the final 17 holes of infill drilling at the Ternera deposit, part of the El Zorro project in Chile, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Assays returned 10 meters at 6.14 grams per tonne grade of gold from 14 meters, including nearly 3.3 meters at nearly 16 g/t grade of gold from 16 meters, 96 meters at 0.86 g/t grade of gold from 351 meters, including 38 meters at 1.5 g/t grade of gold from 409 meters, the filing said.

The results are being used to update the mineral resource estimate in preparation for a maiden ore reserve for the deposit, per the filing.

Shares rose 11% in morning trade Thursday.
