$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ Mark Shmulik at Bernstein issued a rating reiteration on Meta Platforms rather than a brand-new comprehensive research report. He reiterated a Buy / Outperform rating with an $800 price target. Shmulik had previously cut the target from $850 to $800 after Meta's earnings release.

The core view is that market reactions to Meta's aggressive AI capital expenditure are overly cautious. Bernstein sees the generative AI investments and Advantage+ ad automation as necessary drivers for long-term ad revenue efficiency and new business opportunities beyond social feeds. Despite short-term margin compression from rising infrastructure spending and earnings pressure, Meta's 3.5+ billion active user base and ad targeting capabilities are viewed as strong catalysts to reach the $800 target.
