US markets are choppy but not broken. The S&P 500 hit a record near 7,819 on Oct 6, then slid to 7,624 by Oct 23, still up 11.4% for 2026, as the 10-year yield reached about 5.1%, oil climbed and AI-spending worries bit. Earnings reactions are harsh: ServiceNow fell roughly 24% and Alphabet about 10% on profit misses despite strong growth. With the Fed leaning hawkish and US midterms on Nov 3, I'd be cautiously bullish long term but tactically neutral. AI demand and earnings remain solid, yet elevated valuations punish any disappointment. Stage purchases, hold some cash, and avoid concentrated bets.
