I find the semiconductor divergence more interesting than the outright bearish thesis. Rising memory spot prices alongside falling semiconductor equities could mean the market is anticipating a cyclical slowdown, but equities may also simply be repricing after very high expectations.

The Russell 2000 thesis looks more compelling to me if Treasury yields continue falling. Smaller companies are generally more rate-sensitive, so sustained lower yields could broaden the rally beyond mega-cap tech.

For gold, I would be cautious about chasing either direction. Heavy CTA shorts plus strong upside convexity create the ingredients for a sharp short-covering rally, even if another test toward US$3,850 remains possible.

Overall, I would watch three confirmations: semiconductor earnings revisions, the 10-year Treasury yield and whether gold can turn heavy short positioning into an actual price reversal. Positioning alone is not a catalyst.
