$SPX + KEY STOCK SETUPS FOR MONDAY 🐯

The market is giving mixed signals, and Monday’s best opportunities may come down to how price reacts at key technical levels. Here’s what I’m watching across $SPX, $AAPL, $AVGO, $SPOT, $NOW, $CRWD and $IREN. 👇 🔹 $S&P 500(.SPX)$ Friday’s price action was indecisive, but the index is not oversold. 📉 Bearish below 7,632 🎯 Targets: 7,603 → 7,583 🚧 Hard resistance: 7,647.2, then 7,651.9 📩 I send modeled levels for the next session by email every day. Join the list via the link in bio. 🍎 $Apple(AAPL)$ Indecisive price action near the upper Bollinger Band has historically led to a pullback toward at least the 20DMA. This time may be no different, with 338 in sight. ⚡

Blockbuster Week: Mega-Cap Earnings, FED and PCE

A very choppy week has ended, bringing the anticipated vanishing bounce. The Volatility Index ( $Cboe Volatility Index(VIX)$ ), $S&P 500(.SPX)$ , and $NASDAQ 100(NDX)$ have been studied with clear indicators, and their setups anticipated both the previous week’s decline and the recent choppy price action closing in the red. This week’s bearish trigger came from the technology sector, driven this time by capital expenditure concerns for $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ , which turned negative in free cash flow; the market simply needed a catalyst, and it arrived from the corporate front. What is particularly interesting is

3 best Daily Charts: $QCOM, $META and $GOOG

Earnings catalysts, oversold conditions, and key moving averages are setting up three different technical scenarios. Here's what I'm watching on each chart. 🔹 $Qualcomm(QCOM)$ $QCOM is building a base between $170 and $180 ahead of its Nov. 4 earnings report. Reclaiming the rising 50DMA would strengthen the case for a breakout. 🔹 $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ A relief bounce looks increasingly likely. The recent break below the lower Bollinger Band has set up similar rebounds in the past, making a technical recovery worth watching. 🔹 $Alphabet(GOOG)$ Down 21% from its peak, $GOOG is looking oversold. Its P/E ratio has returned to 2022 lows, while revenue and EBITD

More Selloff Next Week?

Last Saturday in the Weekly Compass, a technical bounce was anticipated for the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ and $NASDAQ 100(NDX)$ , along with a subsequent reversal. Declines are choppy; they don’t work like rallies that print uninterrupted bullish momentum. Declines present spikes, trapping bulls before continuing their pathway. The current market decline has been anticipated since Thursday, October 1st, when I documented the technical reasons why a spike in the Volatility Index ( $Cboe Volatility Index(VIX)$ ) was imminent. On Thursday, October 8th, I anticipated a bearish formation in the price action for the NDX, and last Saturday I anticipated the vanishing bounce. Th

5 Best Daily Charts and Insights: $MSFT, $QQQ, $IWM, $META & $MU

Markets remain under pressure, but not every chart is signaling the same thing. Some names are approaching key downside levels, while others are showing early signs of a possible rebound. Here’s what I’m watching: 📉 $Microsoft(MSFT)$ Lost its 20DMA. The lower Bollinger Band at $505 is the next potential downside target. 📊 $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ Touched the lower Bollinger Band. A technical bounce is possible, but the chart doesn’t yet suggest a solid bottom. Remember, declines rarely happen in a straight line. 🟢 $iShares Russell 2000 ETF(IWM)$ Rejected the 20DMA again, but this time buyers pushed the price off its lows, producing a green candle instead of another beari

Another Fading Rally

The market just showed how fast a good headline can turn. $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ printed revenue growth strong enough to send the stock higher after hours, and yesterday for few hours it looked like a solid move, actually there was not a bearish print in the indices, they just didn’t show conviction at the close yesterday. The reaction faded based on META’s spending plan, with CapEx running at a pace that changes the free cash flow math. $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ had a bearish reversal for the opposite reason, it cut its CapEx guide and the market read that as a delay in the AI buildout. I wrote yesterday that earnings reactions often print fake moves at first (mostly for TSLA and META), these two follow

4 Daily Charts to Watch: $IWM, $SMH, $GOOG & $MSFT 🐯

Markets are showing mixed signals, with key technical levels coming under pressure across several major names. While some stocks are attempting to rebound, bullish conviction remains weak, and the risk of further downside hasn't disappeared. 1. $iShares Russell 2000 ETF(IWM)$ : Bullish move, but conviction is missing. The critical 20DMA is being tested — the same level that has dictated the trend for four weeks. Breakout or rinse and repeat? Today’s doji leans toward the latter. 2. $VanEck Semiconductor ETF(SMH)$ : Recent bounces off the lower Bollinger Band have failed quickly. With today’s price action lacking bullish conviction, a retest of the lows looks increasingly possible. 3.

$SPX $QQQ Reclaim Key Levels as Semiconductors Show Strength

We have been monitoring price action closely this week. $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ On Monday, I posted four criteria essential for navigating bounces; one of those criteria is the recovery of central weekly and monthly levels that delineate bullish versus bearish conditions. Those levels are modeled every Friday based on pure price action and volume footprints where institutional algorithms react, making them relevant because they reflect recent momentum rather than long-term diagonals (that are good to have in mind, and sometimes they match with modeled levels, but the accuracy is lower). On Friday, I shared two long-term charts for the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ and QQQ demonstrating how critical it is when a central w

Daily Charts: $SPX Momentum Fades, $IWM Tests Resistance, $MU Eyes a Breakout

The market is approaching some important technical levels, and tomorrow could bring key signals for both broad-market direction and individual stocks. Here’s what’s on my radar. 👇 🔴 $S&P 500(.SPX)$ — Bulls Are Losing Steam The 20-day moving average has rejected price for four consecutive sessions. That’s a notable change in behavior. Previous rebounds from the lower Bollinger Band reclaimed the 20DMA with conviction. This time, the follow-through is missing. 👀 The next move in $SPCX is key to watch tomorrow. A stronger bounce could help stabilize sentiment; continued weakness would leave the broader market vulnerable. 🟢 $iShares Russell 2000 ETF(IWM)$ — Small Caps Show Relative Strength Small caps outp

SPCX: Fueling the Tech Sector?

Choppy price action continues. This morning, the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ recovered the anticipated central daily level (CDL) of 7,702, suggesting bullish continuation, with 7,748 serving as a second resistance line shared in advance in this publication. The market received a fuel injection after the U.S. president stated that progress was being made in diplomatic talks to extend a ceasefire and reopen the Strait of Hormuz shipping route, turning red futures green during the session. Once again, the rally vanished. The moment price touched 7,748, the elevator down began, giving back half of the daily gains and printing another indecisive candle. The anticipated choppy week is playing out. There are weeks when we see conviction, and others defined by in

$SPY, $SMH & $QQQ: Is This Relief Rally Losing Steam?

The market has bounced, but the latest price action raises questions about whether buyers have enough conviction to push higher. Three key charts are flashing caution signals. 1. $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$ We have seen solid bounces with green candles or gap-ups. Today, we saw an indecisive candle finding rejection at the 20-day moving average. Low daily volume also suggests caution for this bounce. 2. $VanEck Semiconductor ETF(SMH)$ The bounce in tech was mostly driven by semiconductors. However, that red candle shows everything but conviction, not to mention the low daily volume. 3. $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ The relief bounce mentioned happened as expected, now th

Bottom In or Dead-Cat Bounce?

As mentioned in the Weekly Compass last Saturday, when social media was flooded with posts about a potential black Monday, the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ and technology, mostly driven by semiconductors ( $VanEck Semiconductor ETF(SMH)$ ), was primed for a bounce given the technical conditions outlined in the publication. Today's move is not surprising, and we will analyze what criteria must be considered to increase the probability of continuation following the bounce. Now that the bounce has materialized, the prevailing question is: Is the bottom in? However, we should perhaps rephrase the question: Is the sector rotation over? That consideration is driven by the divergences we have witnessed over recent days, w

4 Hot Charts to Watch: $QQQ, $IWM, $NOW & $TSM

Hi Tigers! Four stocks and ETFs are flashing very different technical signals. $QQQ and $IWM may be setting up for relief bounces, $NOW is showing potential downside risk, while $TSM is approaching a key level that could determine whether its rebound holds. 📉 $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ — Relief Bounce or New Highs? A break below the lower Bollinger Band suggests a bounce may be near. Can it recover to all-time highs, or will the rally fade again? 🔍 $iShares Russell 2000 ETF(IWM)$ — A Fourth Bounce in the Making? Another lower-band breach, alongside bullish Stochastic divergence, raises the possibility of a rebound. Can it finally break the downtrend? ⚠️ $ServiceNow(NOW)$

$MU and $NVDA Are Selling Off. Is a Rebound Near?

Semiconductor stocks are under pressure, but after sharp declines, the next move may be just as important as the selloff itself. 👀 🧠 $Micron Technology(MU)$ — Don’t Chase the Selloff Micron’s weekend trading activity is showing a potential print around $818. If that price holds into Monday’s regular session, the stock could open with a significant gap lower. ⚠️ With price potentially stretching well below the lower Bollinger Band, short sellers should be careful about chasing the move. A sharp reversal could catch late shorts off guard. And with a P/E ratio around 11, $MU doesn’t look expensive on that metric alone. But remember, memory-chip earnings are cyclical, so a low P/E doesn’t automatically mean the stock has bottomed. 📉

Inflation Strikes Back: The Fed's Fight Just Got Harder

Both the consumer and wholesale inflation reports released this week came in hotter than expected. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed annual headline inflation accelerating to 3.7% in September, up from 3.4% in August, while consumer prices rose 0.6% on a monthly basis. Removing volatile food and energy, core CPI ticked up to 2.6% annually, from 2.4% in August. The 3.7% print reflects a re-acceleration, it remains well below the multidecade peak of 9.1% recorded in June 2022 but it extends one of the longest stretches of elevated inflation in the past century. Headline CPI has now stayed above the Federal Reserve’s 2.0% target for more than five years, since March 2021. The primary catalyst for the recent bump is energy. The conflict in the Middle East has disrupted energy supplies and

$SPY Near Oversold as $SMH Repeats the Bounce-and-Selloff Cycle

Two charts to watch as we head into next week. Oversold conditions may invite a bounce, but that doesn't automatically mean the uptrend is back. 📉 $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$ | Oversold Bounce on Deck? Price has again traveled from the upper Bollinger Band to the lower band and is approaching oversold territory. A technical bounce next week looks increasingly plausible. But there’s a catch: the uptrend has already been interrupted, and the breakdown from the narrowing price structure remains a risk for bulls. A bounce alone won’t confirm a recovery. 🔄 $VanEck Semiconductor ETF(SMH)$ | Another Bounce-and-Selloff Cycle? The pattern is becoming familiar: bounce, selloff, bounce, selloff. Until price br

Will the Selloff Continue?

On Thursday, October 1st I documented the technical reasons why a spike in $Cboe Volatility Index(VIX)$ was imminent, commenting in several editions that the move had a 2 week window to occur. On Thursday October, October 8th I anticipated a bearish formation in price action for the $NASDAQ 100(NDX)$ , increasing the probabilities for a decline in the market. This week’s selloff is not unexpected, neither the destinations considering specific price levels that I have been highlighting in the premium / paid content: 7684.7 for $S&P 500(.SPX)$ / 765.6 for $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$ , and 29,647 and 29,235 for

$DRAM Bears Get Squeezed After Oversold Selloff 📈

$Roundhill Memory ETF(DRAM)$ is a good reminder that chasing a sharp selloff can be dangerous. On October 14, the stock looked oversold relative to its Bollinger Bands, while the oscillator was curling up from oversold territory—a signal that had been constructive in recent sessions. By Thursday morning, with $DRAM down 6.5% in premarket and facing a major gap below the lower Bollinger Band, the risk of shorting late was already elevated. The stock subsequently squeezed bears as the oversold conditions fueled a rebound. The lesson: A sharp gap down doesn't guarantee further downside. When price is stretched, wait for confirmation and use key price levels to define risk rather than chasing momentum. Stay disciplined, Tigers. 📊 Markets are always mo

Four Charts, Four Different Signals 📊

Hi Tigers! 🐯 Let’s look at four names on the radar today. Some are holding constructive setups, while others need to reclaim key levels before the bullish case strengthens. 📈 $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ — The breakout remains solid above the 20DMA. A break below that average could open the way to the lower Bollinger Band, but there’s no reason to anticipate that move before the blue line breaks. For this week, keep 725.9 on your radar. 🎯 $Netflix(NFLX)$ — Yesterday’s analysis highlighted a constructive setup, and the follow-through delivered. The price action played out as expected. 💪 $Qualcomm(QCOM)$ — Wednesday’s resilience hinted at a bounce, and Thursday’s r

Semiconductors continue struggling while other sectors bounce

An interesting divergence is playing out in the market. While the $Dow Jones(.DJI)$ is currently in the green for the week +1%, the $NASDAQ 100(NDX)$ and $S&P 500(.SPX)$ are down -3% and -0.9%, respectively. A major sector rotation is underway: Semiconductors ( $VanEck Semiconductor ETF(SMH)$ ): Down -7.4% on the week, driven by sharp pullbacks in individual names like $Micron Technology(MU)$ (-9.5%), $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ (-7.5%), and $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ (-5%).
