After a unison surge on Thu, 17 Sep - Fri saw the Dow fell by -0.18% while both S&P 500 and Nasdaq managed to reverse an intraday loss, closing higher at +0.17% & +0.40% higher for the day. As for INTC, it fell for 2 of 5 days, rising 3 of 5 days - overall rising by approx. +13%; not bad for a week's work. (see attached) The coming week will hinge on whether Trump will wage another assault on Iran. Will he be able to afford to given mid-term election is effectively 43 days away (including 19 Sep).
It was a relief to find that only the Dow fell on Friday because just before trading resumed, it was both Dow and S&P 500 were in the red. With Nasdaq 'firmly' in the green and with a Friday +0.40% gain, SKHY was part of the contingent that helped propped up Nasdaq. (see attached) It closed up by +2.46% to end off mid-Sep at $187.50. For the week, SKHY actually gained a whooping +6.82%. I think the colour used to represent SKHY for the week is inaccurate, should be green right ? Ha, ha, ha.
US market on Friday was an eye-opener. The Dow fell by -0.18% to close at 51,682.64, while both S&P 500 and Nasdaq managed to scrape by with a marginal gain of +0.17% & +0.40%. This as US 10 years Treasury yield continues to test the 5% mark, after the Fed announced a +0.25% interest hike for the 1st time in 3 years. While other AI-related stocks rose higher, SMCI fell instead. This does not show confidence but more speculation in nature, you run at first sight. What do you think ? (see attached)
@JC888:SMCI the darkhorse. Better than NVDA ? Mmm...
With less than 10 mins to go before trading resumes on US market this Friday, the tides has turned for SMCI, less than an hour ago. SMCI is poised to open lower at $40.17; instead of higher. This comes about becos Trump is mulling to restart its attack on Iran. He even talked about annihilating’ Tehran. All these negative thoughts have spooked US market all over again. Why can't he keep his gap shut for once ?

With 15mins to go before Friday trading resumes, 2 of 3 US composite futures indexes are "Red". What a difference a few hours could transpired. Reason ? It was less than an hour ago that Trump again incoherently talked of ‘annihilating’ Tehran. He is sowing discord by mulling further military action to break the deadlock in the Middle East. His pool of advisors is sitting by, watching him sink further & further into the abyss. In the meantime, his rattle has spooked the US market once again. I have no doubt that SMCI would have turned red too.

Hi TigerStars Thank you for reading my post. Glad you liked it. What I've learnt about US market is that nothing is far fetched and impossible. Only our imaginations is the self imposed limits.//@JC888:Replying to @HRHRHRHR:Hi, thank you for reading my post and sharing your views. Agree that for SMCI to hit the $60 mark is not a task. However, to maintain the stock at that level is a different story. Looking at SMCI's past 3 years performances, it hit the $60 mark on a few occasions. However, it was always touch & go. Hence for it to be a permanent fixture will require a bit of trust & confidence in the stock. It could happen too at most until March 202

By the same token, $Intel(INTC)$ is also poised to open higher than Thursday by +2.83% at $111.88 per share. Have the fears, concern and worries over AI buildout and memory shortages dissipated ? At the back of my mind is still the outstanding Middle East issue that could erupted just like that. What do you think ?
With 3 hours to go before US's Friday trading resumes, SKHY is poised to open higher by +1.67% at $186.05 per share. Question is will it be able to last till 4pm when trading for the week comes to a halt ? What do you think ?

Did my post on SMCI arrive a tad too late ? Not at all. Its just the start of a possible rally. (see attached) With the 3 US composite futures indexes poised to open higher on Friday, SMCI might just run along just fine. What do you think ?

On Thu, $Micron Technology(MU)$ closed higher by +5.50% ending the day at $977.50 per share. (see attached) This is all thanks to INTC's CEO speech on 15 Sep, where he said that "memory production capacity is very limited and that "the situation will get even worse in 2027" As a result, all memory chip maker gained and stand to gain further, if the narratives take off
On Thursday, the 3 US composite indexes all turned in a positive performance, ranging between +0.61% to +1.69%. No prize for guessing which is the top performing index. Heading into Friday, the 3 composite futures indexes continued to make further gains inroad. With 4 hours to go before weekend trading commences, the supposed gains are trending between +0.16% and +0.60%. Will US market end the week on a high note or pullback marginally, still notching a win for the week ?
$SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC(SMCI)$ has quietly become one of the more interesting rebound stories in AI infrastructure. So far, shares are up +21.76% YTD, but stock is still down -21.46% over the past year as investors work through governance overhangs and margin whiplash. What market participants are underweighting, is what SMCI actually sells. Unlike NVDA, that designs the chips only and engages in circular financing, SMCI builds the full AI factory around them, a total solution in short, giving it a one-stop infrastructure moat. This includes: Rack-scale servers. Direct liquid cooling. Switches, storage & deployment services. The $60 Target. Given the striking disconnect between SMCI’s YTD and past 12 months, 24/7 Wall St strongly believe SMC
INTC certainly didn't disappoint. On Thursday it rose a further +7.66%, ending the day at $108.80. All that's missing is the SKHY INTC deal, to propel it higher. Give it easily 3 months for a finalised deal to pop up?
Replying to @WernerBilly:Hi thanks for reading my post and sharing your views. Totally agree that a "real" foundry contract is the winning step in the right direction for INTC. While the talk between SKHY & INTC are still 'exploratory' - it was Reuters that was doing the reporting; not just any tom, ** or harry newscasters. That should hold some weight, don't you agree ?//@WernerBilly:Exploratory talks don’t fix execution. Without a real foundry win and cleaner margins, rumor strength fades fast
An hour into Thursday trading and a positive Nasdaq of +1.38% gain has definitely provided INTC the thrust to rise even higher today (+7.95%). Is market & traders still hopeful of a possible SKHY & INTC partnership ? I think so !
