$Alphabet(GOOG)$ Long term, the approach is just to keep buying slowly. Once the enormous CAPEX spending slows down, this should reverse and start printing money. Until then, it will likely keep falling. Buffett's position is somewhere around $294, and I expect it to settle around that area. Berkshire will probably be buying heavily at prices below their current average.
$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ The headline suggesting Meta could be on the hook for $1.4 trillion is absurd, and it seems to be a big part of why the stock is getting pushed down right now. That's a worst-case scenario with maybe a 1% chance, yet the market is acting like it's a done deal. A $200 billion fine feels far more plausible. The trial itself doesn't make much sense either. The case against Meta has merit because internal documents show they knowingly designed features like infinite scroll and variable reward loops to hook young users, even while knowing these mechanisms cause mental harm, body image issues, and compulsive use. Addictive design was built to keep kids online for long stretches. Company studies showed apps like Instagram harmed teen mental health, yet Meta kept those features active to boost ad revenue despite the risks. The broader internet problem goes well beyond Meta.
