$Moderna, Inc.(MRNA)$ 220Bulls could really capitalize on this moment and squeeze things even further. The path to new highs looks pretty straightforward.
$SK hynix(SKHY)$ $Micron Technology(MU)$ $SanDisk Corp.(SNDK)$ $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ SK Hynix surprised the market by buying back 3.3% of its outstanding shares as part of its shareholder return plan. The company is wrapping up employee and union negotiations and apparently saw the weak market as a good time to start repurchasing stock. The timing looks quite opportune. SNDK is up 100 points since the news came out, SK Hynix is up 12 points, and Micron is up 33 points.
$SK hynix(SKHY)$ SK hynix is announcing a KRW 40 trillion share buyback and cancellation program, and it's being described as the largest share cancellation in Korean history. The key part is that these shares are cancelled, not just held as treasury stock, so that permanently reduces the share count. The company is also targeting more than 50% of free cash flow returned to shareholders, combining dividends and buybacks.
$Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bear 3x Shares(SOXS)$ It took 10 reverse splits to finally show some strength. With the amount of NVDA circular financing and NBIS debt service interest growth and balance sheet deterioration — just to name two examples — giving up this gain would look like a mistake.
$SanDisk Corp.(SNDK)$ $Micron Technology(MU)$ $SK hynix(SKHY)$ Plenty of people weren't in this trade. Those who got misled are now seeing the better earnings reports and realizing they got the short end. They're all piling in now. Downside hedges keep unwinding as the stocks push higher.
$APPLIED DIGITAL CORP(APLD)$ APLD has been my favorite stock for a while now, but sometimes it can be frustrating. I exited my APLD position for the moment. Bought AXTX on the 6th and sold on the 10th, then RKLX on the 10th and sold the 11th, SMCX on the 11th and sold the 13th, and SNXX on the 13th which I'm still holding. Over the last week or so that added up to a 77.8% gain. I'll look at getting back into APLD when the timing feels right to me.
$Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bear 3x Shares(SOXS)$ It feels like this should be roaring, but it's not. I'm not seeing the wild swings that market makers priced in, so there's a lot of money to be made by selling options since they are priced much higher than they should be.
$Applied Optoelectronics(AAOI)$ More and more articles are pointing to optical interconnect as the next major bottleneck in AI. The chatter has been building since the Marvell CEO's keynote a few weeks ago. Every optical company is scrambling to expand capacity as fast as possible to keep up with demand. The next couple of years could be very interesting, and rewarding, for those who spot this early. We saw what happened with GPU, CPU, and ASIC names as NVDA, AVGO, and AMD stock soared. Then memory followed with names like Hynix and SNDK. Interconnect looks like the next wave. AAOI, COHR, LITE, CRDO, and the suppliers feeding them. It still feels like the early stages of this shift.
