$Broadcom(AVGO)$ MSFT is expanding AI capex as well. Microsoft CFO Amy Hood said on a call with analysts that calendar-year 2026 capital expenditures would reach about $170 billion, with the company expecting capex to exceed $50 billion during the current quarter. Microsoft said its first-quarter capex reached $45.2 billion, higher than the previous quarter.
$Broadcom(AVGO)$ Algobots have started a sell-off, which should turn into a big buying opportunity soon, and these stocks will likely be back up. The market is basically run by robots nowadays that only trade on headline news. When irrational robot-driven manipulation takes the market down, it tends to pop right back up.
$Broadcom(AVGO)$ GOOGL drops on higher AI capex spending, which should be good for AVGO, yet AVGO falls in sympathy? Good grief. AVGO is already too large a position in my portfolio, but I think I'll add more if we keep dropping on good news. Still don't plan on selling a single share until we break 500 next year.
$Broadcom(AVGO)$ $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ Broadcom just lined up $63B in financing from banks and Blackstone to supply chips to Anthropic. AI labs keep locking in massive compute packages, and the chip makers sit right in the middle of that capital structure. The financing machine is still running at full speed.
$Broadcom(AVGO)$ Hock Tan looks ready to collect. CNBC covered Oracle expanding its OpenAI partnership, and the chip angle is hard to miss. Google TPUs still carry Broadcom's fingerprints. OpenAI's custom silicon push is another large opportunity, and Anthropic has committed billions to AI infrastructure. The earnings setup is also notable. Wednesday brings Google and Microsoft, both AVGO customers. Thursday brings Amazon, also an AVGO customer. A pattern is forming. The focus remains on AI capex, TPU deployments, and cloud growth. Hundreds of billions are flowing into AI. Wall Street keeps shouting about an AI bubble. Meanwhile Hock is positioned with open arms for Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic workloads. Not every dollar goes to AVGO, but h
$Broadcom(AVGO)$ Hock is a decent CEO. He's no Jensen, but he's no John Chen either. Broadcom as a company is firing on all cylinders. The share price should fully reflect that soon.
Bank of America, Blackstone, Citi and Morgan Stanley announced a $63 billion deal to deploy AI computing capacity using Broadcom's technology for Anthropic, with deliveries expected to start in 2027. The transaction will be structured through a newly created special-purpose vehicle, funded by the four financial partners to buy AI XPUs and networking solutions from Broadcom, which will then be leased to Anthropic. Bank of America, Citi and Morgan Stanley will arrange the senior secured financing, while Blackstone will exclusively provide the committed junior secured tranche. Broadcom will offer residual-value support equivalent to the senior financing tranche. Blackstone COO Jon Gray said surging AI demand is creating meaningful opportunities to finance large-scale computing infrastructure.
